The cozy atmosphere made it feel like a home away from home.
I was disappointed that there was no breakfast available during my stay.

Family with children cozy retreat
The staff were incredibly helpful, I mean they took our order even after closing time for the kitchen. And wow, the food was fantastic, taste like it was made with real care, not just thrown together.
It wasn’t exactly wallet-friendly, but it was still acceptable for the quality of what we got.

Just a nice choice for an overnight stay in Hereford with good price-value balance. The TV reception was poor, but the staff tried to help us out. Make sure to check food availability ahead of time.

I loved kicking back on the sun terrace with a cold drink and enjoying the cozy garden area. The food was delicious, and the pub had such a great vibe, making it a perfect end to the day. The only downside was that the room felt a bit basic, but it didn't ruin my overall stay. 🌞

Awesome food and fun vibes!
Such a lovely spot! The food was fantastic and the staff were super friendly. The chef was a real hoot, belting out 70's hits while cooking. The double room was clean and comfy, though it got a bit warm at night. the bar area is a perfect hangout after dinner.

Welcoming atmosphere with delicious food made for a pleasant stay. the room had significant cleanliness issues, including unkempt bedding and a poorly functioning toilet cistern. Unfortunately, there was no breakfast service, and access to the property was confusing due to a lack of guidance.

central pub stay near beautiful wye valley parks and landmarks
I really enjoyed the warm hospitality from the staff and the unique character of this cozy inn, making it a delightful base for my weekend explorations in the Wye Valley, and the proximity to stunning sites like Goodrich Castle just under 2 km away and the enchanting Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a short stroll away, made my walks even more special. Single travelers will appreciate the comfy double room that provides a welcoming atmosphere for a restful night after a day of sightseeing, but it would be great if they could improve the music volume in the pub for a more relaxing evening experience.

this place is just great! its got this old school inn vibe that makes you feel right at home. the staff are super friendly and helpful, always there when u need them. had an amazin dinner and breakfast that really hit the spot. plus, the atmosphere is cozy and charming, unlike those boring chain hotels. definitely a place i'd come back to!
only thing i could complain about was the small shower in the bathroom, a bit tricky to get the temp right. but honestly, that's nothing to ruin a fun stay.

Arriving, I found out breakfast was only offered on select days, catching me off guard for my brief work visit. The TV had no channels despite attempts to retune, and the Smart TV's wifi access was practically useless with poor bandwidth, leading to persistent buffering. The limited menu only offered three options, one of which was a veggie burger, prompting a Just Eat order instead. Music blared loudly, making it tough to hear the TV. An old-fashioned shower curtain felt unhygienic and cramped in a barely-there shower space. Only a watered-down hand wash served as a cleansing option , and the condition of the bathroom's plasterwork left much to be desired. Cleanup apparently wasn’t high on the priority list, either.

Exposed brick walls, cozy bar atmosphere with woodburners, stellar location for river walks
Bathroom design is poorly thought out with a shower too small for comfort!!! Navigating dark pub areas at night is inconvenient, not to mention the bizarre setup of having a bath in the bedroom!!!
